Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Ship Inspections: Manage and enhance the ship inspection regime, including collaborating with third-party inspection companies. Conduct occasional on-site inspections as needed.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice and recommendations for troubleshooting machinery-related issues. Analyze machinery performance data to identify areas for improvement and optimize fleet operations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving maritime regulations and technologies related to safety and quality. Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards.
- Operational Support: Manage pre-joining briefings for seafarers and evaluate vessel conditions prior to hiring.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze inspection data, identify trends, and generate reports to inform operational decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a related field from a recognized university/college.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical Superintendent in a reputable ship management company.
- Proven experience as a Chief Engineer on board Container Vessels.
