Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage lithium trading activities (physical and derivatives)
- Oversee day-to-day operations and performance of the trading team
- Develop and implement trading strategies and sales initiatives
- Work closely with internal teams (operations, legal, finance) and external counterparties
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, suppliers, and trading structures
- Manage risk exposure, including market, credit, and counterparty risks
- Oversee hedge positions, P&L monitoring, and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Drive market intelligence efforts, including supply/demand analysis and industry insights
- Prepare budgets, reports, and support strategic planning initiatives
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in commodities trading (physical and/or derivatives), preferably metals
- Proven experience in team leadership and stakeholder management
- Strong understanding of risk management, derivatives, and financial modelling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build and maintain industry relationships
