Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand business opportunities within the energy shipping sector across Singapore and the Asia/Oceania region.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, representing the organisation professionally in the market.
  • Engage and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on commercial and operational shipping activities.
  • Lead new business initiatives and projects, taking responsibility for project coordination and execution.
  • Provide guidance, support and mentorship to local teams across the Asia/Oceania region, promoting collaboration and achievement of business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse developments in energy policies, markets and industry conditions across Asia/Oceania, providing regular insights and reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure daily business activities are conducted in accordance with company policies, business standards and ethical requirements.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to customer requirements and coordinate effectively with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and ad hoc assignments as required by the business.

Requirements

  • Degree in Maritime Studies or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience within the shipping industry.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in vessel owning, ship management, chartering and/or vessel operations.
  • Experience across any vessel segment will be considered.
  • Proven project management experience, including involvement in project implementation or supporting project leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience or exposure to the energy supply chain is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, ship financing and cash flow analysis.
  • Strong commercial and business development mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong team player with a transparent, collaborative and proactive working style.
  • Willingness to take ownership and contribute across different areas of the business.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across Singapore and the wider Asia/Oceania region.
