Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop topside structure engineering deliverables (Philosophies, BOD, Studies, reports, calculations and drawings) throughout all engineering phases (Conceptual, FEED and DDE)
- Review and provide assurance in multi-discipline philosophy, BODs, layouts and drawings
- Perform design sizing, calculations and analysis using engineering tools and software
- Verify topside structure MTO and develop relevant cost estimate information
- Review and verify engineering deliverables by 3rd party
Competencies
- Familiar with Engineering Codes and Standards: API RP 2A/2FPSand AISC
- Knowledge of Class rules from ABS FPI, DNV-OS, DNV-RP is preferred
- Familiar in the different types of analysis ranging from linear and non-liner analysis, dynamic, FEA, fatigue, progressive collapse etc.
- Control and guide engineering activities including 3rd party contractors and discipline engineers
- Knowledge in engineering software such as SESAM, FEMAP, SACS and StaadPro
Requirement
- At least a Bachelor Degree in Civil/Structural/Naval Architecture or related disciplines
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Offshore Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 of experience in design of topside structures for floaters
- Fabrication yard brownfield construction experience is preferred
