Job Description
Work for one of the World’s largest Marine EPC Contractor in China as a Senior Architecture Engineer to supervise a team of Engineers, Designers and Drafters to perform project related engineering and detailed design works for mega marine EPC projects. Details for the job as follow:
Job Scope
- Supervise the Architectural design team comprises of engineers, designers, and draftsperson to perform architectural works and detailed design engineering task assigned by the Lead-Engineer
- Supervise the team to ensure timely completion of assigned works and deadline
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, and draftsperson to ensure projects meet safety and functionality standards
- Review client’s project documents, such as specifications, design basis, concepts, company standards, scope of works and other pertinent documents and list down clarification if there’s any discrepancies in the documents
- Check the accuracy of the design documents and meet the project standard and client’s specifications requirements
- Interface with other discipline regarding the project
- Report directly to Lead-Engineer on interface project status
- Coordinate with assigned engineer in preparing detail design and shop design drawings
- Check the drawings completed by the drafters and discussed with them for the changes and Comments that need to incorporate. And to produce works with quality standard
- Assist in preparing the material list / Material take-off/MR/RFQ’s / TBE’s and other work-related documentation
- Assist and conduct technical clarification work and identify the technical deviation
- Supervise the team comprises of Engineers and designers to respond to site query and preparation of necessary documentation
- Assist Lead-engineer. Attends internal and client’s meeting regularly as required. Conduct site inspection for site’s technical query
- Provide technical support to procurement in evaluating the material, equipment, or documentation provided by supplier, vendor, or subcontractor
- Delegates duties and responsibilities to team engineers and designer for smooth implementation of the project’s requirements
- Plans, develops, coordinates and review subordinate’s work; Monitor Master Deliverable Register and estimate manpower requirement
- Supervise architectural team to ensure quality and efficiency
- To perform works assigned or designated by Lead- Engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Naval Architecture or equivalent
- At least 10 years of experience in Oil & gas industry and Architectural Engineering works
- Mastery in naval architecture/outfitting fields for marine offshore facilities
- Handled large scale projects in relation to E-Houses, Control Buildings, Living Quarters, Refineries or LNG projects
- Familiar with the different kinds of ratings, codes and standards such as IMO, SOLAS, DNV NORSOK, ABS etc. regulations
- Familiar with standard architectural material requirements and specification
- Familiar with engineering management and control procedures, e-house/LQ construction practice, offshore oil & gas fire rating knowledge and classification and specification knowledge
- Strong sense of responsibility as a Senior Engineer
- Good command in English for oral and written
- Good command of MS Office Suite application
- Good command of technical and business terms
