Role Overview
The Sales Manager will drive new business for a Maritime Accounting ERP platform, selling to shipowners, operators, and ship management companies. The role requires strong maritime industry knowledge and a systems/technical background, with the ability to translate accounting, financial, and operational requirements into effective digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure
- Develop new business within shipowners, operators, and ship managers
- Conduct client discovery sessions focused on accounting, finance, and reporting workflows
- Position ERP solutions covering:
- Vessel & management accounting
- AP/AR, billing, and financial reporting
- Budgeting, cost control, and voyage / fleet profitability
- Deliver solution demos and support proof-of-concepts
- Build relationships with Finance Managers, CFOs, Technical and Operations teams
- Work closely with pre-sales, product, and implementation teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in maritime sales or solutions consulting
- Strong exposure to maritime accounting systems, ERP, or finance platforms
- Background in Systems Engineering, IT, Marine Engineering, or Accounting-related systems
- Solid understanding of shipping accounting and cost structures
- Proven consultative / solution-selling experience
