Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous and proactive support to existing customers across the APAC region, with primary focus on Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
  • Drive sales of spare parts, retrofit solutions, and onboard services for the existing installed systems.
  • Expand and further develop the after-sales business by identifying new service opportunities and retrofit potential.
  • Report directly to the Managing Director in Singapore and work closely with the local team based at the Singapore office.
  • Coordinate closely with headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, particularly in relation to quotation preparation and follow-up, alignment of activities, and regional market development.
  • Act as the key point of contact for external customers, maritime authorities, industry associations, and other relevant stakeholders within the region.
  • Serve as an internal interface between the Singapore organization and the technical departments at headquarters, especially the Spare Parts team and other technical functions.
  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate market trends and competitive activity across the APAC region, with particular emphasis on Singapore.
  • Represent the organization professionally to customers, partners, and other participants in the maritime market

Requirements

  • Technical or commercial qualification, or an equivalent professional background.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales or after-sales services, preferably within the maritime sector.
  • Strong technical capability with a keen interest in advanced technical systems and solutions
  • Willingness and ability to gain in-depth knowledge of the organization’s core systems through a structured training program.
  • Ability to clearly explain system functionality and benefits, and to communicate effectively with both purchasing and technical teams on the customer side.
  • Strong customer-service orientation with a proactive, organized, and solution-driven sales approach.
  • High level of intercultural awareness and confidence when operating in an international environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; additional language skills are an advantage.
  • High level of personal accountability, readiness to travel within the APAC region, and strong communication skills.
