Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development by identifying and securing opportunities with shipowners, operators, charterers, and maritime companies
- Promote and sell shipping consultancy services, including commercial advisory, operational support, market intelligence, and related solutions
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted commercial advisor
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to close consultancy engagements
- Work closely with internal consultants and analysts to tailor solutions to client needs
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue KPIs
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, and forecasts
Requirements
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial roles within shipping, maritime services, or shipping consultancy
- Strong understanding of shipping markets (e.g. dry bulk, tanker, container, offshore, or related segments)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders, including shipowners and C-level executives
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
