Job Description

Role:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while implementing marketing strategies to attract new customers.
  • Stay updated on global oil and energy market trends, conducting research and analysis to identify business opportunities in bunker supply.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the international bunker business including ports, suppliers, owners, charterers, and relevant regulations.
  • Utilize knowledge of oil market dynamics and marine fuel pricing strategies, along with an understanding of the maritime shipping industry.
  • Create effective marketing materials to promote services and value propositions to both existing and potential customers.
  • Manage the entire sales process including quoting, negotiating, confirming, delivery, and post-delivery support.
  • Monitor customer credit lines, payment performance, and assist with collections if necessary.
  • Handle disputes or claims resolution as needed.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior staff and trainees.
  • Adhere closely to company group policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar sales/marketing role.
  • Preference for candidates with a background in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly express ideas.
  • Excellent analytical skills to analyze market trends and customer needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • Organized with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken communication.
