Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Review project requirements and coordinate with the Commercial Team for clarification.
- Develop the Project Execution Plan (PEP), incorporating timelines, milestones, and budgetary controls.
- Oversee project execution to ensure completion within schedule, scope, and cost targets.
- Facilitate internal and external meetings to align objectives with all stakeholders.
- Lead Internal Kick-off Meetings to resolve outstanding matters and confirm the PEP.
- Collaborate with the Design & Engineering (D&E) team to address technical and design-related issues.
- Raise Technical Query Requests (TQR) for clarification before commencing site activities.
- Submit Clarification Requests (CR) during execution and work with the Commercial Team to ensure variations are captured and billed.
- Coordinate manpower planning with the Operations Manager.
- Supervise and guide the Project Team, manage daily activities, and resolve site-related issues or conflicts.
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at all times.
- Review subcontractor and vendor progress claims to verify accuracy prior to payment approval.
- Implement effective controls for project materials and consumables.
- Prepare and distribute progress reports to the GM, Operations Manager, and clients.
- Coordinate with QA for inspection activities and perform ship inspections or FAT as required.
- Engage with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Represent the company in client meetings and resolve project concerns effectively.
- Ensure photographic documentation is maintained before and after project completion.
- Manage final project close-out, including documentation handover and Customer Satisfaction Form submission.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline), Project Management, or Business Administration.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
- ISO 9001 / ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
- Knowledge of SOLAS, IMO, and classification society standards for marine-related projects.
- 5–10 years of project management experience in shipbuilding, offshore, or construction sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in scheduling, cost control, contract management, and vendor coordination.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Experience working collaboratively with D&E and Commercial Teams.
- Solid understanding of HSE standards, inspection processes, and quality assurance practices.
