Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering & design team, supervise design progress and engineering deliverables, as well as ensuring effective collaboration among team members
- Responsible for all engineering design applications that are related to topside and marine facilities in the FEED and Detailed engineering phases
- Develop and organize engineering deliverable plans and to prepare 4th level design schedules and resource allocation plans to ensure sound design work proceeds
- Initiate, convene and lead design kick-off meetings
- Work closely with the Project Manager on engineering deliverables to ensure smooth production progress
- Work closely with the Construction Manager, Procurement Manager and other project management personnel to ensure consistent engineering inputs to facilitate timely project schedule and work quality
- Organize and review engineering contractual documents, specifications, preliminary quotation, meeting minutes to ensure design works proceed as planned
- Organize regular design meetings with the vessel owner to report on progress and provide constructive resolution plans and feedback raised by the owner representative
- Organize and lead multi-disciplinary meetings/discussions to recognize risks that may exist in the design phase. Formulate corresponding risk response measures to mitigate impact of risks on projects
- Monitor the design work progress and quality submitted by engineering houses/subcontractors and other 3rd party services
- Prepare regular Project Design Management Reports
Requirements
- Minimum Engineering Degree or qualifications in related field of studies
- At least 18 years of experience in engineering works related to marine & offshore facilities
- At least 8 years of experience in leading a team that facilitates engineering deliverables for major FPSO/FLNG EPC projects
- Completed at least 2 full-cycle EPC projects for large scale FPSO/FLNG vessels
