Job Description
Responsibilities
- Cargo and Vessel Operations: Managing the full cycle of cargo activities, including vessel planning, port coordination, and supervising loading and discharging processes.
- Documentation and Compliance: Preparing, reviewing, and processing operational documents such as permits, invoices, and customs paperwork, while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies (e.g., MARPOL, SOLAS).
- Liaison and Coordination: Serving as the key contact point for suppliers, buyers, surveyors, agents, and internal stakeholders to facilitate efficient and timely operations.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving operational issues, including shipment delays, cargo damage, or routing discrepancies.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and current records of trading activities, inventory control, and stock documentation.
- Safety and Health:Â Ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards and environmental protection regulations.
Requirements
- Strong planning and organizational abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal capabilities.
- Proven experience in oil cargo operations, shipping, or logistics is generally required.
- Competency in relevant systems and applications, including logistics software and Microsoft Office tools.
