Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and performance of offshore assets within assigned regions.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all personnel involved in offshore activities.

  • Implement and supervise planned maintenance systems for MOPUs, FSOs, and related equipment.

  • Manage inventory, repairs, and upkeep of critical machinery such as generators and cranes.

  • Review and approve engineering drawings, technical documents, and modification proposals.

  • Coordinate operational requirements with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.

  • Ensure full compliance with class, flag state, insurance, and regulatory standards.

  • Plan and execute class and flag surveys, dry docking projects, and onboard inspections.

  • Liaise with classification societies for technical approvals and certification matters.

  • Prepare and manage operating budgets, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting.

  • Produce operational reports, survey schedules, and post-docking documentation.

  • Maintain all statutory and SOLAS certificates for equipment and systems.

  • Conduct audits, investigate technical failures or non-conformities, and implement corrective actions.

  • Ensure adherence to international codes, company policies, and safety/quality protocols.

  • Serve as the main client contact for operational updates, issue resolution, and performance reviews.

  • Support long-term planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Carry out offshore visits for inspections, audits, and technical assessments.

Scope & Autonomy

  • No direct expenditure authority.

  • High autonomy in routine operational and administrative tasks.

  • Decision-making limited to established operational frameworks and company policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in offshore operations or marine asset management.

  • At least 5 years in a leadership capacity (e.g., Offshore Installation Manager, Chief Engineer).

  • Experience in shipyard operations or conversion projects is an advantage.
