Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development initiatives and identify growth opportunities within the Ocean Freight Forwarding sector across Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Oversee and guide the Sales Team across the SEA region, providing strategic direction and hands-on leadership to ensure consistent performance.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term business goals, with performance measured on half-yearly revenue and profit targets.
  • Build a strong business development pipeline through proactive customer engagement, lead generation, and solution-based selling.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients to enhance retention, and identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
  • Collaborate closely with the Pricing Team to stay aligned on current freight rates, carrier capacity, and market trends, ensuring competitiveness and service reliability.
  • Manage key regional and global customer accounts, including long-term contract negotiations and account development plans.
  • Provide regular business performance reviews, forecasts, and market insights to management during internal meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in logistics, with a focus on Ocean Freight Forwarding.
  • Proven success in new business development and key account management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Solid knowledge of logistics operations (Air, Ocean, Land Transport, Warehousing).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Regional exposure and existing customer network in SEA and Australia are advantageous.
