Job Description

The person in this role will oversee the daily administration of the bidding and sales activities for the group’s companies, guaranteeing effective execution and ongoing enhancement for optimal management of leads, opportunities, service proposals, and business development reporting.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Management of Bids

  • Oversee the efficient execution and ongoing enhancement of the Bid Management Process throughout all business units.
  • Guarantee compliance with the bidding procedure, making sure that proposals are competitive, meet company policies and relevant standards/regulations, and engage clients effectively.
  • Collaborate with all pertinent departments within business units and throughout the group to guarantee prompt submission of necessary information and documentation.
  • Draft and/or manage bid materials alongside business development and marketing teams to ensure client needs are fulfilled and submissions adhere to both client and internal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with teams throughout the organization to create uniform content that meets branding standards for use in proposals.
  • Develop and oversee a cloud-hosted collaborative database of bid materials, service offers, and value statements, guaranteeing that content effectively conveys the organization’s worth and uniqueness.
  • Track bidding outcomes and pinpoint areas for enhancement to boost the likelihood of securing contracts beyond industry standards.
  • Work alongside IT and Finance departments to develop and execute AI-powered solutions aimed at optimizing the bidding process and increasing success rates.

Sales Administration

  • Oversee the successful execution and ongoing enhancement of the Sales Management Process throughout all business departments.
  • Maintain compliance with the sales procedure, collaborating with the Business Development Team and various departments to keep current sales pipelines, client engagement information, win/loss assessments, and forecast documents aligned with CRM protocols.
  • Track the development and efficiency of the pipeline, spotting chances to enhance lead generation, opportunity handling, and conversion rates according to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance departments to design and execute AI-powered solutions

Market Data & Reporting

  • Perform data research and analysis to aid in creating Serviceable Obtainable Market (SOM) strategies and corresponding marketing initiatives that align with short- and mid-term sales objectives.
  • Leverage data sources and databases to produce insights that guide market penetration strategies and enhance the conversion of opportunities into revenue.
  • Compile regular reports on business development and marketing for every business unit.

Client Value Comprehension

  • Work alongside the Business Development Team and engage in chosen client-facing meetings to grasp client requirements, value anticipations, and critical decision-making factors related to service offerings.

 

Qualifications and Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime, Logistics Management, or a similar field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an industry connected to maritime activities.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 software.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and database administration.
  • Having knowledge of Artificial Intelligence tools is beneficial.
  • Proficient in both written and verbal English.
  • Capacity to generate professional reports.
