Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:

Manage and support daily marine activities such as navigation, mooring, cargo loading/unloading, and ballast operations.

Provide operational guidance and clear instructions to onboard officers and crew.

Conduct onboard training sessions focused on safety, cargo procedures, and navigational excellence.

Coordinate and prepare vessels for external audits and inspections (SIRE, PSC, CDI, etc.) in collaboration with Masters and Technical Superintendents.

Lead corrective actions following inspection findings, ensuring timely implementation of improvements.

Oversee documentation for SIRE vetting, OCIMF database entries, and manage screening communications.

Assist in updating company manuals, safety drills, work permits, and risk assessments in line with evolving regulations.

Perform onboard visits and conduct ISM, ISPS, and MLC compliance audits, while observing critical operations such as navigation and mooring.

Monitor voyage execution and vessel performance, working closely with commercial operations teams.

Participate actively in emergency response and post-incident investigations, ensuring lessons learned are applied.

Serve as the primary contact for operational matters between the vessel and shore teams, maintaining effective communication with internal stakeholders and charterers.

Provide expert input on navigation, mooring, tank cleaning, and safety-related procurement decisions.

Promote and enforce company policies regarding marine standards and environmental stewardship
