Job Description:
• Support the Marine Manager, Masters, and crew in safe and compliant vessel operations.
• Maintain full knowledge and effective implementation of the Company’s Management System.
• Assist in improving procedures and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure vessels comply with company policies, client requirements, and are inspection-ready at all times.
• Conduct ship visits, inspections, audits, and promptly resolve issues with relevant departments.
• Promote strong safety, quality, environmental, and energy efficiency standards across the fleet.
• Guide Masters on navigation, bridge procedures, and cargo operations best practices.
• Provide operational support to office staff and identify and deliver crew training needs.
• Keep Masters updated on key charter party requirements.
Requirements:
• Master Mariner (Class 1) license or Chief Mate license; sailing experience on merchant vessels.
• 5–10+ years sea service, with senior officer experience (Master/Chief Mate preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, and international maritime regulations.
• Experience in vessel operations, inspections, audits, and safety management systems.
• Familiar with dry docking, maintenance planning, and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage incidents, claims, and compliance matters.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with Masters, crew, and shore staff.
• Capable of conducting vessel visits, training, and performance evaluations.
• Good report writing, documentation, and computer skills.
• Willing to travel frequently and attend vessels worldwide on short notice.
