Job Description
- Report to Fleet Manager, Marine & Security.
- Oversee daily operational aspects of a fleet, including navigation, mooring, safety, and general vessel condition.
- Ensure safe cargo operations, including loading, discharging, and tank preparation.
- Collaborate with Technical team for drydock planning and execution.
- Manage 3rd party inspections and audits.
- Conduct management inspections and internal audits, identifying areas for improvement.
- Review and respond to various vessel reports and inspections.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with international regulations.
- Monitor vessel documentation and record-keeping.
- Supervise planned and unplanned repairs, prioritizing safety.
- Organize and conduct trainings for officers and crew.
- Conduct safety, environmental, and security drills.
- Conduct performance appraisals and interviews for deck officers.
- Investigate incidents/accidents onboard as needed.
Qualifications:
- Master Mariner Certificate of Competency holder.
- Experience as Master or Chief Officer on LPG/Ethylene/Ethane Vessels.
- Proficient in digital environments, with strong logical process development skills.
- Willingness to travel and manage on-call availability.
- Ability to develop, improve, and implement safe and cost-effective vessel management processes.
- Deep knowledge of vessel management regulations.
- Deadline-oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Independent, organized, and resourceful.
- Strong team player with cross-functional relationship management skills.
