Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and efficient technical operation of vessels.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage vessel certification, documentation, and surveys.
- Prepare and manage vessel budgets.
- Conduct vessel inspections.
- Oversee vessel docking and repairs.
- Provide technical support to crew members.
- Communicate effectively with owners and third parties.
- Handle the procurement of spares and stores.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the company.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of sailing experience as a Chief Engineer on LNG carriers (Superintendent experience is an advantage).
- Experience working with or managing vessels with Dual Fuel Engines (LNG).
- Strong practical knowledge of vessel operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural organization.
- Basic computer application skills.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements within the shipping industry.
- Good communication skills.
