Job Description
- Oversee vessel operations to ensure safe navigation and adherence to company procedures and industry best practices
- Ensure full compliance with international regulations including SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, ISPS Code, and Flag State requirements
- Support vessels in meeting charterer expectations and operational requirements
- Prepare vessels for Port State Control (PSC), Flag State, and other regulatory inspections
- Conduct internal audits and onboard inspections to ensure operational and safety standards are maintained
- Track certification status and ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are up to date
- Review and follow up on incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, ensuring proper reporting and resolution
- Participate in or lead incident investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented
- Monitor the closure of HSEQ findings and audit observations to drive continuous improvement
- Provide technical and HSEQ guidance to Masters and onboard crew
- Identify training requirements and support the implementation of safety and operational training programs
- Assist in contingency planning and emergency response coordination
- Act as Company Security Officer (CSO) / Alternate CSO or Designated Person Ashore (DPA) / Alternate DPA when required
- Support vessels in navigation planning and safe voyage execution
