Oversee the daily marine operations of assigned vessels in close collaboration with the fleet team.
Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental standards for assigned vessels.
Perform the duties of CSO and Alternate DPA for the vessels under your responsibility.
Maintain the readiness of assigned ships for PSC, RightShip, and customer inspections.
Ensure timely resolution of non-conformances, observations, and deficiencies from internal and external audits or inspections on assigned vessels.
Conduct audits, inspections, and routine visits to monitor ship performance as needed.
Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and assist in addressing deficiencies while implementing preventive actions.
Evaluate operational risks from a marine and navigational perspective for assigned vessels.
Conduct crew briefings and debriefings on marine-related matters.
Contribute to the development and improvement of the quality management system and participate in the continuous improvement of departmental procedures.
Provide training and familiarization for crew members on marine matters.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of sailing experience as a Master on ocean-going container or bulk carriers operating worldwide.
1-2 years of shore-based experience as a Marine Superintendent.
Strong knowledge of ISM Code, ISPS, MARPOL, MLC, and other relevant maritime regulations.
