Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a strategic and experienced Marine Operations Director to lead the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of our offshore support vessel fleet. Based in Doha, Qatar, the ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in offshore marine operations, regulatory compliance, and high-standard service delivery to the oil & gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day operations of offshore support vessels, ensuring compliance with international maritime regulations and internal standards.

Lead and coordinate teams across operations, marine, crewing, and technical departments.

Develop and execute operational strategies that meet company goals and client expectations.

Ensure vessels are properly manned, maintained, and operated according to best practices, charter agreements, and HSE requirements.

Interface with clients, charterers, authorities, and regulators to ensure seamless service delivery.

Track vessel performance, KPIs, budgets, and enforce cost control measures.

Maintain emergency preparedness and lead incident investigations as needed.

Champion digitalization, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.

Contribute to commercial discussions, tenders, and contract negotiations when required.
Requirements:

Master Mariner (Unlimited) CoC or equivalent qualification preferred.

At least 10 years of offshore vessel experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership or director-level role.

Solid knowledge of DP operations, offshore chartering, and regional maritime regulations (Qatar, GCC, IMO).

Proven leadership and strategic planning abilities, with strong stakeholder management skills.

Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.

Experience working in the Middle East is an advantage.
