Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design and document IT and OT systems for shipboard networks.
- Coordinate and manage IT and OT projects to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide remote and on-site support for IT and OT systems.
- Analyze and resolve IT/OT system design and implementation issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT and OT systems.
- Contribute to the implementation of IT/OT governance procedures, including:
- Reviewing OT system designs for new vessels:
- Evaluating and assessing new OT systems
- Participating in system integration and user acceptance testing
- Reviewing VLAN and firewall configurations with vendors and manufacturers
- Supporting the implementation of cybersecurity projects across vessels
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in maritime IT, including shipboard systems (engine automation, navigation, trim/fuel/route optimization, cybersecurity, incident handling)
- Strong knowledge of network design and troubleshooting for marine environments
- Occasional travel for on-site surveys and troubleshooting
- Tertiary qualification in IT networking or Marine Engineering
- Professional certifications (CCNP, NSE 6.0 or higher) preferred
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices
