Job Description
Role:
Planning:
- Delegated responsibilities from the GM of the Marine Division.
- Assist the Marine Superintendent (MSI) in preparing the Marine operational expense budget.
- Support the MSI with the annual Management Review preparation.
- Aid in drafting fleet notices and disseminating information/alerts related to marine and security matters.
- Maintain and update company agreements related to the Marine Division.
- Provide support for ICAM investigations upon request.
Operational:
- Maintain and update records for Marine Audit schedules and visit planning.
- Keep track of Marine periodical review records.
- Update and manage the Security Exercise Plan, SSP reviews, BWMP, SOPEP, NT VRP, USCG, and Panama SMS procedures.
- Maintain records of SSAS tests and Iridium test results.
- Manage insurance claim records and reporting for the Marine Division.
- Update and maintain monthly Marine KPI data.
- Oversee the company’s marine publication library inventory.
- Maintain records of office and vessel audits/inspections related to navigation, mooring, and cargo, and prepare statistical reports.
- Take minutes during Marine operation meetings, as well as internal and external audits.
- Coordinate Iridium phone tests with vessels.
- Provide support for MSI duties in their absence.
- Assist with PAL reports and help MSI close reports.
Performance Monitoring:
- Execute responsibilities delegated by the GM of the Marine Division.
- Assist the MSI with marine insurance claims.
- Support the Marine team in preparing for DoC, Green Award, TMSA, and MTMSA audits.
- Compile performance reports for quarterly stakeholder meetings.
Improvement:
- Review and maintain monthly Marine operational records and KPI data, ensuring MSI is informed.
- Coordinate remote VDR, CCR CCTV audits, and external navigation audits.
- Assist with projects or tasks related to Marine Operations, such as navigation, mooring, and cargo, under the GM’s supervision.
- Prepare presentations for charterers, owners, and navigation safety campaigns.
Requirements:
- Possess a Class 3 Marine Certificate of Competency or a Diploma in Marine-related disciplines.
- Understanding of ship management, international regulations, ISM Code, ISPS Code, and basic marine and port operations.
- Proficiency in company software applications.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in the maintenance and operational readiness of existing and new vessels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
