Job Description
JOBSCOPE
- Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, you perform the review for detailed engineering plans as assigned for compliance with application Class rules/guides, IMO and National regulations and contract commitments.
- Perform works that involves conventional engineering practices, but includes moderately complex problems such as the resolution of conflicting design requirements and etc.
- Propose new approaches to technical challenges and make recommendations for changes in methods, procedures or designs
- Work directly with engineering house, equipment suppliers and shipyards to ensure machinery and piping systems are designed, installed and commissioned in accordance to standards and expectations
- Involve in commercial and technical evaluation for bid and vendor procurement
REQUIREMENTS
- Possess a minimum a university Degree in engineering from a recognized institution
- At least 8 years in marine piping and machinery designs
- At least 6 years in the marine industry
