Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assigned onboard the Floating Storage Unit (FSU) to take on the role of Loading Master.
- Execute cargo transfer operations according to the approved transfer plan, ensuring the process is carried out efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
- Develop and coordinate cargo transfer plans together with FSU and vessel teams, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Supervise the loading, movement, and discharge of cargo while enforcing strict safety standards and completing all necessary safety checklist procedures to safeguard cargo quality and quantity.
- Serve as the central communication link, ensuring clear and consistent updates with all parties involved throughout every phase of FSU–vessel cargo operations.
- Conduct accurate oil measurement calculations and reconciliation to ensure alignment between FSU and vessel quantities.
- Perform operational inspections and oversee vessel activities to guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements and established industry practices.
- Organize and execute cargo stowage planning for every ship-to-ship (STS) transfer.
- Manage and monitor product sampling and laboratory testing when required.
- Maintain thorough and accurate cargo transfer records (including full Bill of Lading set, discharge certificates, time logs, etc.) and submit all reports to the head office promptly.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Loading Master.
- Willing to work according to the company’s shift rotation and remain onboard the vessel when required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly meticulous, dependable, and able to carry tasks through to completion.
