Job Description
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide legal support for the maritime businesses, principally PaxOcean group
- Be a solutions provider; offering sound, relevant and practical advice or assistance that factors in commercial considerations
- Adopts a multi-disciplinary approach in handling transactions, including being able to drive transactions where required
Desired Skills and Experience
- Singapore or Common Law qualified
- Good academic credentials
- 6 to 12 years PQE from a combination of private practice and in-house role(s)
- Experience in the maritime/shipping/offshore oil and gas industry would be advantageous
- Experience in negotiating and managing offshore oil and gas construction contracts or shipbuilding contracts would be advantageous
- Exposure to corporate transactions e.g. M&A
- Able to handle primarily non-contentious work and contentious work, including directing external counsel
- Team player, adaptable and having good communication skills
- Proactive; possessing initiative
- Able to perform under pressure
