Job Description
- Handle maritime claims including cargo damage, collision, personal injury, and Charter Party
- Liaise with lawyers, insurers, surveyors, and Protection and Indemnity Club.
- Review and advise on contracts, charter parties, and shipping agreements.
- Manage claim investigations, negotiations, and settlements.
- Ensure compliance with regulations from the International Maritime Organizationand other maritime authorities.
- Advise management on legal risks and maritime liabilities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Law, Maritime Law, or related field.
- 5+ years experience in maritime legal or claims handling within a shipowner or shipping company.
- Strong knowledge of maritime law, shipping contracts, and claims management.
- Experience handling disputes involving vessels and cargo.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple legal cases and claims.
