Job Description
- Handle maritime claims including cargo damage, charter party disputes, and insurance matters.
- Review and manage contracts such as Charter Partyand shipping agreements.
- Liaise with insurers, lawyers, Protection and Indemnity Club, and external stakeholders.
- Manage dispute resolution, negotiations, and settlement of claims.
- Ensure compliance with maritime regulations from the International Maritime Organization.
- Advise management on legal risks and maritime liabilities.
Requirements:
- Degree in Law, Maritime Law, or related field.
- 5+ years experience in maritime legal or shipping claims management.
- Strong knowledge of maritime law, charter party disputes, and insurance claims.
- Experience working with P&I Clubs and shipping contracts.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced shipping environment.
