Job Description
The Lead Architectural Designer will be responsible for leading the design and development of offshore accommodation modules, ensuring compliance with international standards, client specifications, and project requirements. This role involves overseeing the preparation of structural design deliverables, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and mentoring junior designers to achieve successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the structural design of offshore accommodation modules, including layout, modeling, and detailing.

Develop and review structural drawings, 3D models, and material take-offs using industry-standard software (e.g., E3D/PDMS, AutoCAD, Tekla).

Ensure designs comply with classification society requirements (ABS, DNV, LR, etc.), offshore codes, and HSE standards.

Collaborate with architects, piping, electrical, HVAC, and safety teams to ensure fully integrated module design.

Review and approve structural calculations, drawings, and reports.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers and drafting team members.

Conduct design reviews, clash checks, and resolve interface issues.

Support fabrication and construction teams by providing clarifications and design updates.

Participate in project planning, scheduling, and progress reporting.

Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all structural design deliverables.
Requirements

Degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).

Minimum 8–12 years of structural design experience in offshore projects, with at least 3–5 years in a lead role.

Proven experience in the design of offshore accommodation modules, topsides, or similar structures.

Proficiency in structural design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Tekla, E3D/PDMS).

Strong knowledge of offshore standards, codes, and classification society requirements.

Good understanding of fabrication, installation, and modular construction practices.

Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

Ability to manage workloads, prioritize tasks, and deliver under tight schedules.
