Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the primary contact and intermediary between vessel owners and clients (charterers or ship buyers/sellers) to support successful cargo movements or vessel transactions.
  • Providing up-to-date market intelligence such as freight rate movements, vessel availability, and cargo demand trends to clients and senior brokers.
  • Supporting the negotiation and finalization of charter parties or sale and purchase agreements, ensuring all commercial terms are clearly documented and agreed.
  • Sourcing new business prospects, creating customized solutions for clients, and nurturing long-term partnerships with international stakeholders.
  • Tracking vessel movements and market changes, and assisting with post-fixture activities including claims discussions and reporting.
  • Representing the organization at industry events and forums to expand professional networks and business connections.
  • Collaborating closely with internal departments and senior brokers to promote a results-driven and supportive team environment.

Requirement:

  • Diploma or degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, or a related discipline is advantageous. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Able to perform well under pressure and respond effectively to changing market conditions.
  • Highly driven with a strong sense of initiative and motivation.
