Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth operation of the Company’s computer systems and provide technical support to both office and vessel staff. This includes:
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems, networks, and hardware in both office and ship environments, and liaising with external IT vendors.
  • Assisting shore and sea staff with troubleshooting and resolving hardware or software issues, either face-to-face or over the phone.
  • Assisting in the preparation and administration of the Company’s IT policies and procedures.
  • Supporting the Company’s cyber security efforts, including configuring and upgrading routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, antivirus software, access points, etc.
  • Conducting disaster recovery operations.
  • Board vessels to provide necessary IT support.
  • Assist in implementing new information system management software for the Company.
  • Attend to projects and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum of a Diploma in a related discipline.
  • A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Comfortable with boarding vessels within Singapore waters (safety training will be provided).
  • Experience in setting up and running new information software systems is a distinct advantage.
