Job Description

Proactive Risk Management:
- Conduct thorough investigations of marine accidents and incidents, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Analyze accident trends and security information to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement effective countermeasures and safety policies.
- Disseminate safety information and best practices through circulars and training programs.

Operational Support:
- Provide expert guidance and support to vessel operations, chartering, and post-fixture teams on safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct shore-based training for seafarers and manage pre-joining briefings.

Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of evolving maritime regulations, technologies, and industry best practices.

Emergency Response:
- Manage and coordinate the Crisis Management Centre during emergencies.
- Maintain and update the Crisis Management Plan.
- Conduct drills to ensure effective emergency response capabilities.

Data Analysis & Insights:
- Analyze accident statistics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Leverage data analysis and insights to inform safety decisions and enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications Summary:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or a related field from a reputable university/college.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Superintendent (Marine/Manning) in a ship management company. Proven experience as a Chief Officer on board Container Vessels.
