Job Description
- Primary Duties – Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):
- Supervise one direct report (HSE Executive).
- Report to Head of Ship Management.
- Act as Alternate DPA/ACSO for the fleet.
- Coordinate audits, surveys, and DOC audits.
- Manage all ISM-related certifications and documentation.
- Serve as liaison officer for Class and Flag matters.
- Monitor PSC inspections and deficiencies.
- Analyze and address recurring deficiencies.
- Generate monthly HSE reports.
- Share data on injuries, incidents, and near misses.
- Assist with assigned tasks from Head of Ship Management.
- Primary Duties – Crewing:
- Manage one direct report (Crewing Executive).
- Update Crew Matrix and planning daily.
- Oversee recruitment and retention efforts.
- Maintain crew documentation and certifications.
- Conduct crew interviews and selection.
- Handle day-to-day crewing functions.
- Support additional tasks from Head of Ship Management.
- Requirements:
- Preferably Chief Officer or Master Mariner experience.
- Essential shore-based HSE and/or Crewing experience.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Proficient in computer applications.
- Strong command of English.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
