Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall finance and accounting function for the group.
- Develop financial strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
- Provide commercial and financial analysis to support investment and project decisions.
- Evaluate project profitability, vessel utilization, and cost performance.
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls, governance, and risk management frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, taxation, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, insurers, and government authorities.
- Lead treasury management, banking facilities, and financing arrangements.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments where applicable.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting processes, and ERP utilization.
- Partner closely with operations, commercial, procurement, engineering, and project teams to improve financial performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a high-performance culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
- Experience within offshore marine, shipping, oil & gas, marine engineering, shipbuilding, energy services, EPC, or other asset-intensive industries is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of: Group consolidation Project accounting Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)Cash flow management Treasury Taxation Audit and statutory reporting
- Proven experience managing multiple entities or regional operations.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support strategic business decisions.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with international stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Background in offshore projects, vessel operations, marine logistics, or engineering services.
- Experience with project costing, contract accounting, and capital-intensive businesses.
- Familiarity with international taxation and cross-border financial operations.
- Experience supporting executive management and Board-level reporting.
- Exposure to business expansion, investments, or corporate restructuring is an advantage.
