Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall finance and accounting function for the group.
  • Develop financial strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
  • Provide commercial and financial analysis to support investment and project decisions.
  • Evaluate project profitability, vessel utilization, and cost performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, governance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, taxation, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, insurers, and government authorities.
  • Lead treasury management, banking facilities, and financing arrangements.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments where applicable.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, reporting processes, and ERP utilization.
  • Partner closely with operations, commercial, procurement, engineering, and project teams to improve financial performance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while fostering a high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior finance leadership role.
  • Experience within offshore marine, shipping, oil & gas, marine engineering, shipbuilding, energy services, EPC, or other asset-intensive industries is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of: Group consolidation Project accounting Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)Cash flow management Treasury Taxation Audit and statutory reporting
  • Proven experience managing multiple entities or regional operations.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to support strategic business decisions.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment with international stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in offshore projects, vessel operations, marine logistics, or engineering services.
  • Experience with project costing, contract accounting, and capital-intensive businesses.
  • Familiarity with international taxation and cross-border financial operations.
  • Experience supporting executive management and Board-level reporting.
  • Exposure to business expansion, investments, or corporate restructuring is an advantage.
