Job Description
- Lead the regional logistics strategy by leveraging third-party infrastructure to improve product positioning and deliver asset-supported commercial solutions.
- Identify and drive logistics growth initiatives such as debottlenecking projects, capacity expansions, joint ventures, and asset-backed commercial opportunities.
- Enhance efficiency in third-party logistics utilization while minimizing secondary logistics expenses and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Oversee the negotiation and implementation of logistics-related agreements, including pipelines, storage, terminals, marine services, and associated contracts.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of tariffs, fees, and regulatory requirements, including assessing tariff revisions and supporting protest activities when necessary.
- Provide commercial and economic leadership through financial modeling, capital analysis, and evaluation of contractual and investment opportunities.
- Manage strategic third-party logistics partnerships, ensuring performance monitoring, dispute management, and long-term relationship growth.
- Act as a company representative with customers, counterparties, and industry stakeholders, including participation in relevant industry associations and forums.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Origination, Supply, Trading, Refining, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Regulatory to align logistics and business development strategies with company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with governance standards, contractual commitments, regulatory obligations, company policies, and proper records management.
- Support the company’s origination strategy by identifying, evaluating, and structuring opportunities that generate long-term value across the hydrocarbons portfolio.
- Lead the assessment and structuring of sophisticated commercial transactions, including long-term supply and offtake agreements, hedging structures, inventory monetization, and cross-commodity deals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Broad experience across technical and commercial functions, with the ability to quickly assess project feasibility, commercial value, and counterparty risk.
- Strong strategic thinking, business insight, and financial acumen, with proven capability in handling complex commercial opportunities.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to support partnerships and commercial initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in crude oil, heavy products, refined products, coke, sulfur, renewables, transportation operations, tariff structures, contract administration, regulatory compliance, economic analysis, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
- Advanced skills in project development, financial modeling, and investment evaluation.
- Industry experience in commercial operations, business development, scheduling, logistics, or operations within downstream and/or midstream sectors.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing abilities, particularly within matrix organizations.
- Effective facilitation and coordination skills to secure alignment, accountability, and timely execution among stakeholders.
- Proactive and independent working style with minimal supervision required.
