Job Description

  • Provide operational and administrative support for physical and derivatives trading activities across base metals products.
  • Support reconciliation of positions between physical and derivatives books together with trading and control teams.
  • Assist with procurement and sales contract execution, including declarations and delivery coordination.
  • Prepare, circulate, and finalize contract documentation in line with internal approval processes.
  • Maintain accurate trade entries and reconcile data between systems and manual records.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve operational or delivery-related issues.
  • Support weekly and monthly net position reconciliations.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving trade discrepancies or mismatches.
  • Liaise with front office, trade control, and corporate departments for timely issue resolution.
  • Support execution of procurement and sales contracts while ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts documentation.
  • Support negotiations of contract terms with stakeholders and counterparties.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support reporting of trade recaps and contract memoranda.
  • Maintain system data integrity through reconciliation and validation checks.
  • Assist in preparing credit applications and onboarding documentation for counterparties and warehouse partners.
  • Support relationship management with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working hours: 9:00 AM – 5:45 PM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of trade operations experience within a trading environment, preferably metals or bulk commodities.
  • Basic understanding of metals and minerals trading.
  • Knowledge of LME futures, hedging operations, and commodity risk management concepts.
  • Familiarity with SAP and CTRM systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Chinese language proficiency preferred for business communication purposes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented with a positive and adaptable mindset.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong sense of professionalism, confidentiality, and business ethics.
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
