Job Description
Responsibility:
- Planning, organizing and supervising the activities of the Technical Department, ensuring appropriate controls are in place to address identified risks.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the Management System.
- Ensuring the effective and consistent implementation of the Management System.
- Contributing to the development of new procedures and the revision of existing ones.
- Promoting and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitoring and verifying that the Management System is properly implemented on board vessels.
- Strengthening and promoting a strong safety culture, as well as environmental and energy awareness within the department.
- Ensuring that vessels under full management operate in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Participating in the recruitment and interview process for new Technical Superintendents together with Top Management.
Requirements:
- A minimum of three (3) years’ tenure within the organization as a Technical Superintendent or in a managerial capacity.
- Strong proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken.
- Demonstrated leadership, coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Thorough understanding of the marine industry, including relevant Rules and Regulations.
- Robust technical expertise applicable to the vessels within the fleet.
