Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of 4 finance staff, providing mentorship, direction, and performance evaluation.
- Oversee full-spectrum accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes for both local Singapore operations and an overseas subsidiary.
- Review journal entries and reconciliation schedules, ensuring financial records are complete, accurate, and aligned with Singapore FRS/IFRS standards.
- Ensure financial reporting complies with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison with external auditors for both the Singapore entities and the foreign subsidiary, managing the end-to-end audit process.
- File GST returns accurately and on time.
- Review corporate tax calculations for Singapore operations and coordinate with external tax advisors.
- Support transfer pricing documentation and ensure proper treatment of intercompany transactions.
- Serve as a finance business partner to the overseas subsidiary, delivering financial analysis and guidance to support operations while ensuring adherence to internal controls, SOPs, and company policies.
- Prepare and present monthly financial forecasts and annual budgets for the overseas subsidiary.
- Assist with tax computations and transfer pricing documentation for the overseas subsidiary.
- Handle ad-hoc assignments, including government surveys and preparation of management reports as required.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 6–8 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably within a regional or multinational environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS, GST, and corporate tax.
- Experience with audit and tax compliance across multiple legal entities.
- Familiarity with cross-border operations (experience involving the Middle East is a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Proven experience managing a team.
- Experience with SAP is an advantage.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
