Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain the material status report including information concerning vendors, material purchases and shipping status
- Work closely with vendors and external expeditors to evaluate and re-validate delivery schedule
- Maintain close working relationship with internal stakeholders to inform any revision or changes of materials delivery, in order to avoid progress of site status.
- Coordinate with Buyers to ensure valid back-up plans and remedies are in place should an original plan/arrangement fails
- Responsible for spearheading internal staff training in relation to the expediting function
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a shipyard expediting role
- Minimum Degree in Business Studies
- Strong negotiation skills, independent analysis and problem-solving skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin
- Effective communication and coordination skills
