Job Description
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for Yacht Building Projects, overseeing the works of Engineers and Designers. The role involves managing engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budgets, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Supervisor provided technical guidance, manage resources and ensure that all disciplines of the engineering works are running smoothly. You must have a thorough understanding of the Yacht engineering field, strong leadership and management skills and the ability to work with other departments.
Job Description:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the engineering department for newbuilding projects
- Oversee overall engineering progress and procurement coordination by leading a team of engineers. assistant engineers and draughtsman
- Manage and provide adequate engineering services and solutions to ensure satisfactory performance and completion of the project
- Work closely with the Project Management Team by clarifying technical enquiries with owner representatives relating to the project scope of work
- Provide hand-on support during dry-dockings, sea trials and equipment upgrades
- Enhance compliance through engineering with international maritime regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Marine Engineering or equivalent
- At least 8 years of shipbuilding engineering experience with minimum 3 years of team management experience
- Strong knowledge of shipboard systems including propulsion, HVAC, hydraulics, hull and electrical systems
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
