Job Description

• Review, evaluate, and validate AC and DC marine power system designs, system philosophies, and integration approaches.
• Assess detailed power system studies, including load flow and dynamic performance, short-circuit and selectivity analysis, protection coordination and relay settings, harmonics, transient stability, power quality, and arc flash or fault containment.
• Examine and verify electrical system layouts covering MV and LV switchboards, power distribution networks, propulsion systems, and emergency power arrangements.
• Analyse and confirm hybrid and alternative power configurations such as energy storage systems, battery solutions, DC grids, power converters, and drive systems.
• Develop technical assessments, gap analyses, and engineering recommendations based on study results and identified risks.
• Review and comment on vendor technical submissions, single-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical calculation reports.
• Ensure compliance with relevant class, statutory, and international standards including DNV, ABS, LR, IMO, and IEC requirements.
• Support factory and site acceptance testing as well as commissioning activities from a system engineering perspective.
• Present technical findings, risk assessments, and engineering recommendations clearly to internal project teams and external clients.

• Hold a degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Possess at least four years of relevant experience in marine, offshore, industrial, or power systems engineering environments.
• Demonstrate strong hands-on experience with AC and DC power system analysis and design review.
• Be proficient in power system analysis tools such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD, or SKM.
• Have a solid understanding of electrical protection philosophies, relay logic, and coordination principles.
