Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
- Overall in-charge for the daily operations, including managing of all newbuild projects that are happening within the yard facilities
- Oversee project progress with the newbuilding teams, and monitor the budget for these projects
- Ensure close liaison with owner representatives on the arrival of vessels from logistics arrangement until berth planning
- Mitigate and provide resolution on Quality related matters on daily basis with the Client
- Manage and uphold quality and commissioning matters for site related activities specifically with newbuilding projects
- Responsible for maintaining and improving the QMS infrastructure, governance and compliance processes within the shipyard
- Active involvement in contractual discussions with Clients and the commercial team to establish profitable and ensure deliverability for projects
- Active involvement to yard enquiries and visitations to host potential Clients
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements in shipbuilding
REQUIREMENT
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a shipyard in managerial capacity
- At least of working experience in shipyard environment
- Excellent understanding of safety regulations and procedures in shipyard operations
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering or other related field of studies
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
