Job Description

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversee HR operations for vessels with qualified, certified, and medically fit personnel.
  • Plan and manage the placement of seafarers for the fleet, focusing on long-term strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with flag state regulations and company policies for seafarers.
  • Maintain an up-to-date crew database for the fleet.
  • Develop, monitor, and approve budgets and cost controls for assigned vessels.
  • Manage Protection and Indemnity (P&I) cases.
  • Plan and participate in vessel visits as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Address seafarer feedback through surveys and implement improvements.
  • Lead, motivate, and supervise the Marine HR team; manage engagement and personnel issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all clients within the assigned fleet.
  • Monitor marine personnel agents to ensure adherence to client requirements.
  • Support and contribute to welfare and benefit initiatives for the fleet.
  • Participate in business development activities as directed by Marine HR Management.
  • Drive process improvements and implementation within Marine HR.
  • Enhance seafarer satisfaction through targeted initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of Marine HR KPIs and Annual Operating Plans (AOPs).
  • Engage with direct reports and their teams to improve engagement, job satisfaction, and productivity.
