Job Description

Role Purpose
Manage construction work, financials, scheduling, and quality for APAC projects. Ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead overall construction project management for site teams and contractors
  • Oversee safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Lead contract negotiations and evaluate construction methods for cost-effectiveness
  • Identify and mitigate project risks; pursue design innovations
  • Coordinate external consultants for design and project delivery
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with stakeholders
  • Conduct regular project reviews and prepare fortnightly/monthly reports for management
  • Ensure compliance with local permitting and government regulations
  • Develop contingency plans to address cost or schedule slippage
  • Implement handover systems from construction to operations
  • Liaise with consultants and authorities on utility design and implementation
  • Manage contractor performance and stakeholder relationships

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of construction project management experience
  • Engineering degree (B.Eng, B.Sc.Eng, Construction Management)
  • Business fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in MS Project and MS Office
  • In-depth knowledge of building construction, M&E works, and local authority approvals
  • Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation
  • Fully versed in project management tools and techniques
  • Experience delivering large capital expenditure projects with high M&E dependence
  • Knowledge of international construction techniques
  • Experience in mission-critical environments
  • CAPEX estimation and planning knowledge
  • 5+ years of design or contracting experience
  • Additional APAC languages
