Job Description
Role Purpose
Manage construction work, financials, scheduling, and quality for APAC projects. Ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead overall construction project management for site teams and contractors
- Oversee safety procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Lead contract negotiations and evaluate construction methods for cost-effectiveness
- Identify and mitigate project risks; pursue design innovations
- Coordinate external consultants for design and project delivery
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions with stakeholders
- Conduct regular project reviews and prepare fortnightly/monthly reports for management
- Ensure compliance with local permitting and government regulations
- Develop contingency plans to address cost or schedule slippage
- Implement handover systems from construction to operations
- Liaise with consultants and authorities on utility design and implementation
- Manage contractor performance and stakeholder relationships
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of construction project management experience
- Engineering degree (B.Eng, B.Sc.Eng, Construction Management)
- Business fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Proficient in MS Project and MS Office
- In-depth knowledge of building construction, M&E works, and local authority approvals
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety legislation
- Fully versed in project management tools and techniques
- Experience delivering large capital expenditure projects with high M&E dependence
- Knowledge of international construction techniques
- Experience in mission-critical environments
- CAPEX estimation and planning knowledge
- 5+ years of design or contracting experience
- Additional APAC languages
