Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- On-Site Commissioning: Lead the installation, testing, and commissioning of two-stroke engines at shipyards globally.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase, working closely with the shipyard team.
- System Testing: Conduct pre-commissioning checks, sea trials, and final tests (e.g., engine control system, safety shutdowns, fuel settings).
- Client Training & Handover: Train vessel crew on the operation and basic maintenance of the engine. Manage the final handover process.
- Reporting: Provide detailed commissioning reports and feedback to our engineering and production teams.
Who We’re Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven hands-on experience with large two-stroke marine engines.
- A strong understanding of engine systems, controls, and diagnostics.
- The ability to work independently under pressure in a shipyard environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to travel internationally (up to 75% of the time).
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues.
