Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure vessels under full management are operated in accordance with the terms outlined in their respective management agreements.
  • Make certain that each Technical Superintendent is familiar with the management agreement related to their assigned vessels.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of quarterly financial reports from both the Full Management Accounts Team and the Technical Department.
  • Collaborate closely with the Technical Fleet Manager and relevant Technical Superintendents to manage and monitor vessel budgets.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication channels with vessel owners.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the Company’s Management System.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Company’s Management System.
  • Participate in the development or revision of company procedures.
  • Encourage and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Carry out special assignments and projects as directed by the Company’s Directors.
  • Work in close coordination with Technical Fleet Managers and Technical Superintendents to prepare vessel budget proposals.
  • Present proposed budgets to Top Management for review and approval before forwarding to the vessel owners.
  • Ensure year-end budget proposals are submitted to vessel owners in a timely manner and follow up on outstanding matters until final approval is obtained.
  • Monitor the company’s financial exposure for each client and notify Top Management when any significant risk is identified.

Requirements:

  • Possess a university degree.
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a commercial role or in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong written and spoken communication.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership, control, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
