With more than 3 decades of experience in Ship Repair business, our Client provides diverse and innovative ship repair services to the merchant navy and military sectors. Having earned numerous distinguished track records in the region, our Client is currently looking to expand their team in Singapore to uphold their standards and exceed expectations for customers.
Job Scope:
- Develop proposals, estimates, subcontracts, procurements and costing for ship repair projects
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with clients and ship owners, while managing and collaborating with the operations team
- Determine bid costs for ship repairs, modifications, project modules
- Work closely within the Commercial Team to develop competitive costing against market competitors
- Tender jobs to potential contractors, source and evaluate suitable contractors, negotiate pricing terms, and ensure accurate billing for all work completed onboard
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor of Science or Engineering qualification or other related discipline
- At least 10 years in ship repair yard environment
- At least 8 years of experience in carrying out commercial works for ship repair projects
- At least 5 years in Managerial capacity
- Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
