Job Description

Identify and secure new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets.

  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to support commercial strategies and business growth.
  • Proactively generate new leads through business development activities, networking, and client outreach.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with key clients by providing responsive and value-added support.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts within approved commercial guidelines.
  • Work closely with operational and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to support business planning and expansion initiatives.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor activities, customer requirements, and emerging opportunities within the maritime industry.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of commercial or business development experience within the maritime or marine services industry.
  • Proven track record in key account management, business development, and vessel chartering, preferably within the marine towage sector, including port operations and/or ocean-going towage.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore’s maritime and port operations environment.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with senior management and key decision-makers while managing strategic customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, negotiate favorable outcomes, and contribute to long-term business growth.
