Job Description
Estimating:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates, along with the final bid documents (tenders), for various types of vessels.
- Conduct vessel inspections when necessary and engage with Owners’ Representatives to discuss technical and commercial details.
Invoicing:
- Monitor vessels’ drydocking and repair activities in the yard.
- Discuss technical and commercial aspects with Owners’ Representatives, negotiate and finalize variation orders, and manage invoicing.
Requirements:
- Diploma or equivalent in Marine, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or relevant training in a reputable shipyard or offshore industry.
- Assertive and courteous personality, with strong organizational and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
- Technical expertise and prior experience in a similar role within the shipping or offshore industry, or sea-going experience.
- Willingness to travel overseas occasionally, including visits to shipyards for vessel inspections and project discussions.
